NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Team EOW honored fallen State Trooper Chad Dermyer on Saturday for the second anniversary of his death.
The group held a walk in Newport News, one of the areas where Dermyer served before he was tragically killed in the line of duty.
After the walk, the group headed to Mission BBQ where Dermyer’s picture is hanging on the wall.
Dermyer was 37 years old when he was shot and killed when a gunman opened fire at a Greyhound Bus Station in Richmond in 2016, as 16 state troopers, special agents and supervisors were taking part in specialized training on criminal interdiction practices.
Dermyer lived in Gloucester with his wife and two children.
