GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) Deputies have arrested a Gloucester woman after a child in her care was hurt.

A grand jury indicted 55-year-old Kirsten Hurd earlier this month, then arrested her on one count of felony abuse and neglect.

The sheriff’s office says a seven-year-old boy fell from a zipline while at a home daycare on Horsley Street in Gloucester County last September. Court paperwork says he fractured his skull and spent eight days at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk.
