VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Firefighters were called to fight a fire at the Colony Mobile Home Park off Virginia Beach Boulevard Monday.

The fire department tweeted about the incident just before 2 p.m. They released a picture of a firefighter holding a small dog rescued from the home. Firefighters also rescued a cat from the fire.

Three other pets had already been rescued before fire crews arrived. Two men who entered the home to rescue the pets went to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, but they are expected to be ok.

The fire was contained to the kitchen area of the mobile home. The exact cause is under investigation.
