Finding of guilty deferred for man accused of filming minors in bathroom

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Prosecutors in Virginia Beach withdrew two of the charges filed against a man in connection with the discovery of a cell phone in a church bathroom.

Dillon Jacobs pleaded not guilty to two counts of unlawful creation of a videographic/still imagine of a minor — then admitted there is sufficient evidence to find him guilty.

A judge deferred a finding of guilty until a pre-sentence report is completed — despite objection from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

Police said a boy found a phone camera face up under a urinal at the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church last  April. Jacobs was arrested a few months later.

The charges withdrawn — or nolle prossed — were two other counts of unlawful creation of a videographic/still imagine of a minor and one count of attempted unlawful creation of a videographic/still imagine of a minor.

Jacobs is due back in court in September.
