Family offering reward for information on unsolved murder

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – The family of a Newport News man is asking the public to help find whoever shot and killed Damian Terry.

Terry’s fiance Shannon Brown spoke to 10 On Your Side about finding justice for her fiancé. Terry was 33 years old when he was killed in a drive-by shooting on 30th Street and Madison Avenue in 2015.
His killer is still out there somewhere.

Brown is now offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who has information. Brown says she has raised the money herself.

She says Terry is the father of her children and she is scared knowing the person who killed their father is still likely walking the streets.

“I was scrolling on Facebook when I came across  a news feed that stated a 33-year-old unidentified man had been found dead,” said Brown.  “That person is still out here freely walking around and sometimes I feel like they could be walking right past me.”

Police say Terry was walking on Madison Avenue when a dark-colored vehicle drove past and someone inside started shooting. Brown says she is certain that someone knows something.

“Believe me, the fact that you know is going to haunt you forever until you come forward and do the right thing,” said Brown.

Brown says the goal is to raise $30,000 dollar reward.  If you know any information and are interested in the reward call the number on your screen – 757-354-7556.
