Elbow Road reopens in Chesapeake after roadwork

News

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Elbow Road in Chesapeake has reopened more than 24 hours after officials closed the road due to damage and icing concerns.

The road closed early Wednesday morning due to “dangerous black ice.” Officials extended that closure so that crews could make repairs to the road.

In a tweet Thursday, officials said the road was reopened after public works completed pothole and surface repairs.
