Drunk driver sideswipes York patrol car in front of high school

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A York-Poquoson patrol car was sideswiped Friday morning in front of York High School.

The sheriff’s office said deputies had responded to a crash on U.S. 17, and was blocking one lane in response. A drunk driver came through and sideswiped the car.

The sheriff’s office posted an image of the damaged car to social media Friday. The deputies were uninjured in the crash.
