VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been found guilty of multiple charges in connection to a drunken Sept. 2017 crash that injured four people and left another in critical condition.
Carl Hylton was convicted of DUI-reckless-victim impaired, DUI, and DUI-reckless on Tuesday in Virginia Beach Circuit Court.
The head-on collision happened Sept. 10 around 2:45 a.m. on the 5200 block of Greenwich Road, according to police. Police say Hylton took a turn too fast while driving under the influence, and struck an SUV carrying four people. Both Hylton and the driver of the SUV had to be extricated from their vehicles.
Hylton is scheduled to be sentenced on August 8.
