Driver charged after one seriously injured in JCC crash

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in a single-vehicle crash in James City County. One person was seriously injured. 

Authorities responded to an incident in the 9400 block of Richmond Road around 1:20 p.m. Sunday. Police say a Toyota Tacoma was headed eastbound on the left side of the road and struck a tree. 

The driver and passenger were both transferred to VCU Medical.

Police said the driver, 54-year-old Anthony Haskell, of Lanexa, has been charged with DUI.

A crash investigation is ongoing.
