Drive-by shooting reported in Newport News, dispatch says

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A drive-by shooting has been reported in Newport News.

Dispatchers tell WAVY.com there was a call about the shooting in 1100 block of 22nd Street just after 12 p.m.

Responding officers found a man had been shot in the finger. His injuries are not considered life-threatening. The circumstances of the incident are unclear at this time.
