Dog found tied to pole in the cold making progress in recovery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Back in January, a dog renamed Katie, was found tied to a pole and left in the cold in Brunswick, Virginia.

She was in bad shape, and heart worm positive. She was going to be euthanized, but a rescue in Virginia Beach, called “Hope for Life Rescue” took her in.

The rescue posted new pictures and video of her this week on social media that show a true transformation, just in the few short weeks shes been at the rescue.

Katie has gained weight and was seen playing around with a toy, and wagging her tail.

The rescue says now that she’s doing better, they’re looking for the right home for her before she starts her heart worm treatment.
