Currtituck Co. Sheriff’s Office warns citizens of social security scams

CURRITUCK, N.C. (WAVY) — Officers are warning Currituck County citizens about a scam caller, who claims that says your social security number has been suspended. 

The caller then tells victims to pay a fee in order to reinstate it. 

Officials want you to be advised that this is a scam and not to give anyone any information concerning your social security number.
