NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — At 6:18 p.m., police and fire-rescue crews responded to the 300 block of York Street for a vehicle accident involving the Tide light rail.
After arriving on scene, emergency officials transported one victim to a local hospital. According to Hampton Roads Transit’s Twitter, the Tide was unable to provide service between Fort Norfolk and the Norfolk State University Station.
Due to an accident, the Tide Light Rail will be temporarily unable to provide service between Fort Norfolk and Norfolk State University Station. Buses were dispatched to continue service between the impacted stations.
The Light Rail is now back in service as of 7:40 p.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
