Courthouse bomb threat suspect sought by Hampton police

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who called in a bomb threat to the General District Courthouse on Wednesday. 

Police say the threat was unfounded, and officers found no suspicious devices when they swept the building in the 200 block of North King Street. 

Officers stressed that threatening to bomb is a class 5 felony, which can led to a sentence of 1 to 10 years in prison.
