CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The contractor working on a project to widen Interstate 64 and build a new High Rise Bridge was making pothole repairs along the corridor Monday.
Dispatchers told WAVY.com they received several calls Monday night about a pothole.
An official with the Virginia Department of Transportation said the contractor is scheduled to be back out Thursday night to make additional repairs.
A $409.6 million contract was awarded in 2017 to add six lanes and add one High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lane in each direction and build a new High Rise Bridge adjacent to the existing one.
