Coast Guard to demonstrate boating safety ahead of Memorial Day

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — The Coast Guard is talking boating safety ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

Crew members of Station Portsmouth will discuss the importance of life jackets, boating sober, emergency communications equipment and paddle craft safety in order to prepare boaters for the holiday.

Crew will also perform man-overboard drills Friday morning.
