NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — At least four people were injured Sunday night after a 20-foot boat collided with a jetty in Little Creek, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Virginia Beach emergency dispatchers say an emergency call for the accident came in around 6:40 p.m.
The four victims were transferred to a 45-foot Coast Guard boat that was being used as a platform to perform emergency medical procedures, Coast Guard officials say.
The victims will be transported to Station Little Creek and then to a local hospital for treatment. According to the Coast Guard, Virginia Beach emergency crews are assisting.
