CNU police investigating report of sexual assault on campus


NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Christopher Newport University police are investigating a reported sexual assault on campus.

According to the school’s crime report, the victim said the assault happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday outside of Gosnold Hall.

CNU police say the suspect has been described as a white male, approximately 20 years old. He’s around 6 feet tall with blonde hair and no facial hair, and was last seen wearing a beanie style hat with a “puff ball” on top, a black North Face jacket and black athletic pants.

Police say he left the area on a dark colored bicycle, headed in the direction of Potomac River Hall.
