CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake police are renewing a push to find a homicide suspect.
Police say someone shot and killed Earl Lassiter on Timber Lane Sept. 16. Lassiter, who lived nearby on Flower Lane, was found lying on the ground just after 7 a.m.
Police say officers later learned that residents heard gunshots around 2:30 a.m., but did not call 911.
