Chesapeake police locate man who went missing from group home


UPDATE: Chesapeake police located Orin Teasley near S. Military Highway and Shell Road around 5:35 a.m. on Sunday. 

An officer spotted him wandering and made contact with him. Police say he was evaluated by medics and returned back to his home.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Police are searching for a 49-year-old man who went missing from a group home and requires medication for “serious medical needs.” 

Just before 1 p.m., Chesapeake Police were called to the group home, located in the 800 block of Parapet Road, regarding the missing man. 

Orin Teasley had been living at the group home for one day. Police say his caregiver reportedly let Teasley outside to smoke a cigarette and when the caregiver went to check on him, Teasley was gone. 

Teasley is wearing an ID bracelet and has been reported missing two other, recent times, according to police.

He was last seen wearing athletic shoes, gray pants and a silky dress shirt.
