Chesapeake never turns down a challenge

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office says their city never turns down a challenge–even if it’s a #LipSyncChallenge.

The video featured the officers lip singing and dancing to the 90s hip-hop hit, “Jump” by Kriss Kross.

The office was challenged by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office to participate in the lip sync trend that is taking over the nation’s first responders.

The Chesapeake Fire Department, Special Olympics Virginia, Cloud9 and the Greenbrier Family YMCA helped out with Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office video, according to their Facebook post.

Chesapeake is the fourth of the seven cities in Hampton Roads to have a law enforcement department to participate in the national #LipSyncChallenge.

The Suffolk Police Department said in a Facebook post they are planning to film their video Friday night at 5:30 p.m. at Bennett’s Creek Park. Community members who want to be in the video are asking to come out, weather permitting.
