Chesapeake man arrested at Richmond airport with loaded gun

RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) —  Richmond International Airport police arrested a Chesapeake man for having a loaded gun in his carry-on bag.

The arrest happened on October 1 after a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officer staffing the x-ray checkpoint monitor detected a .40 caliber firearm as it entered the x-ray machine.

TSA officials notified airport police. The gun was confiscated and the man was arrested on weapons charges.
