Chanello’s Pizza robbed at gunpoint in Hampton

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police are searching for a suspect after the armed robbery of a Chanello’s Pizza early Monday morning. 

It happened around 2 a.m. at the restaurant in the 1000 block of North King Street, according to police. 

The suspect entered the restaurant, displayed a gun and fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money. 

No injuries were reported. 

Police say the suspect is in his early twenties, around 6 feet tall and roughly 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue bandana covering his face, a black zip-up hoodie and blue jeans. 

Police say no surveillance photos or video is available at the moment.
