Car runs into Portsmouth school bus at a stoplight

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A vehicle ran into the back of a Portsmouth school bus Thursday morning while it was stopped at a red light, a school spokesperson says. 

According to Portsmouth dispatchers, the emergency call regarding the crash came in around 8:50 a.m. It happened at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and George Washington Highway.  

There were no kids on the bus at the time of the accident, according to a spokesperson with Portsmouth Public Schools. 

Dispatchers say there were no injuries reported from the accident.
