PARKSLEY, Va. (WAVY) — Fire-Rescue crews responded to the intersection of Bennett Street and Cassatt Avenue Wednesday morning for a crash.
Station 7 arrived on scene around 8:15 a.m. and observed a single vehicle accident with one person injured. As a result of the crash, railroad utlities were damaged and one utility pole was broken at the base.
After Engine 75 responded, a second unit was requested to control traffic. Bennett Street was shut down for a period of time to allow assessment and repair. The area has since reopened.
The victim was transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Parksley Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
