Bicyclists leave Chesapeake for ride to honor fallen officers


CHESAPEAKE, Va  (WAVY) — Bicyclists left Chesapeake Thursday morning and are on their way to Washington, D.C. for Law Enforcement United’s annual bike ride.

More than 300 bicyclists from all over the country are riding to our nation’s capital for the “Road to Hope” event. Other teams will start in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Roanoke, Virginia.

The cyclists are set to arrive in D.C. this Saturday to kick off National Police Week.
