NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Fire crews were called to the 700 block of 36th Street in Norfolk on Tuesday afternoon for the report of an apartment fire.
Crews arrived at the residential structure at the corner of Colley Avenue around 1:45 p.m. to find heavy fire showing from the building, according to Battalion Chief Harry Worley.
Images from the scene show firefighters focusing their effort on the front of the second story.
No one was injured, but four apartments have damage, Chief Worley said.
Firefighters are in the overhaul phase and the Red Cross says its helping two adults and six children displaced due to the fire.
