AMBER Alert canceled for NC 3-year-old found safe

UPDATE: 9:30 p.m. Authorities say both Ezra and Stephen Jones were found safe Wednesday night, but no other information has been released. 

RALEIGH, N.C. (WAVY) — Authorities in North Carolina have issued an AMBER Alert for a 3-year-old boy who may have been abducted. 

Ezra David Jones, of Buncombe County, is approximately 3 feet tall, 30 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. 

Authorities say Jones may have been abducted by Stephen Drake Jones, who’s described as a 27-year-old white male with red hair and hazel eyes. He’s about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 185 pounds. 

Stephen Drake Jones’ blue 1990 Ford F-250 with N.C. license tag number PEC5783 was last seen in Henderson County, and is possibly heading toward Winston-Salem. 

Anyone with info is asked to call the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at 828-250-4449 or 911.
