VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The housing rental service Airbnb says it expects hosts to make more than $600,000 combined the weekend of the “Something in the Water” festival.

Airbnb on Tuesday released new data on its expected economic impact from the festival, which is slated for April 26-28 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

The company said approximately 440 hosts will open their doors to guests — 33% of which will be from some locality within the Commonwealth. Other guests will be coming to Virginia Beach from North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland, according to Airbnb.

The average price per room per night of a booked Airbnb for the festival is $247, which is under the average price of $256 in 2018, according to the company.

The data released by Airbnb comes after Pharrell Williams announced a special partnership with the company for the festival weekend.

The “Something in the Water” festival will feature several national acts, including Dave Matthews Band, Chris Brown, Missy Elliott and Pusha T. Tickets for the three-day festival have already sold out.
