AG Herring making stops in Hampton Roads Tuesday

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring will be in Hampton Roads Tuesday to speak at a pair of events.

Herring plans to join health professionals and representatives from the American Lung Association in at MacArthur Square Station in Norfolk at 2:30 p.m. to talk about the Clean Car Standards.

A group of 20 attorneys general including Herring issued a joint statement in August opposing the Trump Administration’s plan to rollback fuel economy standards.

Herring is expected to encourage residents to comment on maintaining the standards. 

At noon, Herring will be in Virginia Beach for the 2018 Statewide Jail Re-entry Conference to launch a new initiative. Herring’s office says the initiative will provide a central location for all re-entry resources and information.
