911 phone lines back open in Dare County


DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — The 911 phone lines are back open in Dare Country, after beign down briefly Monday morning.

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office said Monday morning in a Facebook post this was “beyond our control.”

Anyone with an emergency was asked to call 252-475-5980. Lines are up again, but officials are still unsure what caused the outage.
