7 Cities Pro-Am wraps up 14th season

NORFOLK (WAVY) – One of the longest-running summer basketball leagues in Hampton Roads just wrapped up its 14th season.

The “7 Cities Pro-Am,” which features local high school, collegiate, and professional players, has once again brought in some of the area’s top talent, including Portsmouth’s Dorian Finney-Smith (Dallas Mavericks), Hampton’s Troy Williams (New Orleans Pelicans), and Hampton’s Anthony “Cat” Barber, who just finished up a professional stint in Israel.

While at North Carolina State, Barber led the Atlantic Coast Conference in scoring, and was seventh in the nation, averaging 23.5 points per game.

“We just want the best talent in the area to come back home in the summer time to showcase that talent,” said James Flood Jr., the Pro-Am’s director.
