6 people transported to hospital after jet bridge fails at BWI Marshall Airport

BALTIMORE, Md (WAVY) – Six people were sent to the hospital after a Jet Bridge failure at Baltimore Washington International Airport Saturday evening.

According to a tweet sent out by BWI, there was partial equipment failure involving jet bridge at BWI at Gate E-10. Fire and rescue responded along with mutual aid. They also added, preliminary info indicates six people were transported to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries.

Later the airport tweeted that the jet bridge is now under investigation, and it will remain closed until he investigation is complete. The aircraft moved from the gate and there is no further impact to operations.
