SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Four teenagers are accused of driving through the front of a Suffolk tactical shop and stealing guns from the store, police say.
Suffolk police charged Maleek wilson, 18, Elijah Hicks, 18, and two unnamed juveniles, 17 and 15, with the burglary of CE Tactical on Holland Road.
Police say the four drove a dark-colored SUV through the front of the building in the early-morning hours of Aug. 26. They are accused of stealing 17 handguns from the store, as well as several other items.
Wilson and Hicks were each charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, grand larceny, larceny, and two counts of conspiracy to commit grand larceny.
Both juveniles were charged with 17 counts of grand larceny of firearms.
The day after the burglary, 10 On Your Side spoke with the tactical store’s owner, Gary Crossfield.
“It wasn’t my worst nightmare but definitely not what I wanted to walk into,” explained Crossfield. “It looked like a small bomb went off to the side of the store.”
Police are still investigating this burglary, and officials say other charges may be pending.
