CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters responded to a house fire in the South Norfolk area on Saturday that left four adults and two children displaced.
Chesapeake Fire Department officials say they were called to the fire in the 2600 block of Cayce Drive around 3:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they reportedly found heavy fire and smoke pushing through the roof of the one-story home. The fire was starting to reach a nearby structure, officials say.
Firefighters brought the fire under control around 5:15 p.m. They say the home was heavily damaged and the structure nearby had moderate damage.

There were no injuries reported, officials say. They’re still working to learn the cause of the fire.
