PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Three people have minor injuries after a fire in a multi-family structure on Sunday.
Portsmouth emergency dispatchers were notified about the fire around 8 p.m. It happened in the 100 block of Beacon Road.
When firefighters and EMS arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the back of a two-story, multi-family rowhouse.
Fire and rescue officials say a total of three units were damaged by the fire.
Three residents were able to get themselves out of the burning structure and officials say they were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
