2 people displaced after fire on Fairhaven Road in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A fire at a Fairhaven Road home on Tuesday night displaced two adult residents. 

Firefighters got a call about the fire in the 1100 block of Fairhaven at 6:46 p.m., according to a release sent out Tuesday night, and arrived six minutes later to find smoke and flames coming from the two-story home. 

All occupants were accounted for, and firefighters were able to bring the fire under control at 7:03 p.m. It was marked completely out at 7:38 p.m., fire officials say. 

No one was injured and the two residents are staying with family. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
