NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two adults were displaced after their Norfolk-area home was damaged in an early morning fire.
Norfolk Fire-Rescue officials said firefighters responded to Tidewater Drive shortly just after 5 a.m. The fire had been reported by concerned citizens.
Officials said responding units found the fire had extended into the first floor and attic areas of the home.
The two adults were home at the home, but were able to get out safely. No injures were reported
The area of Tidewater Drive near Columbia Avenue and Alsace Avenue were blocked for a brief period of time due to the fire response, according to dispatch.
Officials said firefighters marked th fire under control at 5:45 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
