CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Two adults and two children are displaced from their home after it caught fire Saturday evening in the Camelot section of Chesapeake.

The Chesapeake Fire Department says they were notified about the fire around 5:30 p.m. and were dispatched to the 900 block of Sir Lancelot Drive.

When firefighters arrived to the scene, they saw smoke coming from a one-story house. Firefighters say they located the fire in the kitchen and it had extended to the attic.

One of the residents was inside the home at the time of the fire, but they were able to escape safely and call 911, according to the Fire Department.

There were no injuries reported from the fire and firefighters say the Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
