1 with life-threatening injuries after separate Hampton shootings

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Two shooting investigations are underway Wednesday night in Hampton, including one that left a man with life-threatening injuries, and they’re not far apart.

Officers got a call for a shooting at 6:26 p.m. in 1100 block of Rowe Street, and when they arrived here they found one man with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries and as of right now, there is no update on his condition.

Investigators were focused on the front yard of a house and later, we saw them checking out a vehicle a few homes down. That vehicle had gunshots through the windshield but it’s not known if it was involved.

About seven minutes after that call came in, police received a call for another shooting on Michigan Drive, that’s about five minutes away.

There’s not a lot of information available from that incident. One person was hurt but they were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. It’s not clear if these shootings were related.

No suspects have been arrested. If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
