HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — One suspect has been arrested and another is wanted in connection to an attempted robbery at a Family Dollar in Hampton.

Hampton police said Monday officers arrested 18-year-old Anthony Davis following the July 28 incident.

Officers responded just after 4:30 p.m. to a Family Dollar Nickerson Boulevard. Once there, a store clerk reported that two people walked into the store, pulled out guns and started demanding money.

The two fled before taken anything and had been last seen leaving the shopping center in a grey Honda SUV. Officers later found the SUV around three miles away from the store, along Lantana Lane.

Both suspects fled the SUV, and one is still wanted.

Davis is charged with robbery, abduction, burglary while armed, wearing a mask in public and three counts of use of a firearm in a felony.
