HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – The Willow Oaks Memorial Day Celebration  this weekend will feature patriotic music, a high school color guard, a keynote speaker and more.

According to organizers,there will be a Presentation of the Colors by the Phoebus High School JROTC Color Guard and the National Anthem will be performed by a Soldier from Joint Base Langley-Eustis. The Guide Right program of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity will lead a wreath laying and guests will enjoy special music selections by a member of the US Army School of Music from Ft. Story. This year’s guest speaker will be a dignitary from Ft. Eustis.

After the ceremony, grab your swimsuits and head over to the Willow Oaks Pool for opening day. There will be music, door prizes, fire truck tours as well as hot dogs and hamburgers.  

The ceremony is Saturday, May 25th at 10 a.m., followed by the pool party from noon to 7 p.m.. Both events are free and open to the public.
