Trashion Show: Saturday, February 23 


Lynnhaven River Now and Lynnhaven Mall presents their 6th annual Trashion Show. The show was created as a way for local students to show off their fashion sense while demonstrating an understanding of the value and importance of reusing items whenever possible.  


When: Middle School Show at 1 p.m. and High School Show is at 5 p.m. 
Where: Lynnhaven Mall 
Cost: Free Admission 



The Links Incorporated Celebration: Saturday, February 23


The Links Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women of color. This weekend, the Norfolk chapter celebrates 67 years of service with a gala. The Chrysler Museum of Art Museum will be transformed. There will be fine dining, dancing and dozens of art pieces to gaze upon throughout the evening.  

When: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. 
Where: Chrysler Museum of Art 
Cost: $25 


After Angelo- Celebrating Black Women in America: Saturday, February 23


The legacy of Angelo, she’s the first African woman mentioned by name in the historical record at Jamestown. African-American women in Virginia will be celebrated with a day of music, dramatic performance and historical presentations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a night of jazz and blues from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 


When: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. 
Where: Jamestown Settlement 2110 Jamestown Rd Williamsburg, VA 23185 
Cost: $8.25 and Up
