New baby zebra at Virginia Zoo needs a name

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Spring is bringing a bunch of new life to the Virginia Zoo this year!

On Monday, the Zoo says they welcomed an adorable baby zebra weighing in at 80 pounds and standing at three feet tall.

The filly is the fifth for its mother Abby and the fourth its father Zack, who let the Virginia Zoo last year for breeding at another zoological facility, according to the Zoo

They want to give the foal a name that starts with a "Z" after her father, but they need your help. These are the choices: Zelda, Zeta, Zambezi, Zenith or Zephyra.

Click here to pick your favorite name. The voting will end at midnight on May 19.

Two emerald tree boas slithered their way into the Zoo's World of Reptiles nursery last week.

The hatchlings will change from a brown color to a green hue that matches their namesake when they're around six months old, the Zoo says
