VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A popular restaurant that started as a hot dog cart in New York City opened its first ever location in Hampton Roads on Wednesday.
Shake Shack’s new restaurant will be in a prime spot, right in the heart of Virginia Beach’s Town Center. It will be the fourth Shake Shack in Virginia.
The restaurant opened its doors at 11 a.m. — and is offering tote bags filled with swag to the first 100 customers. Inside the swag bag: Sunglasses and a phone pocket sticker decked out in the Shake Shack logo.
The first 100 people who got in line at @shakeshack received this swag bag. It came with a card holder and a pair of sunglasses. pic.twitter.com/qeuAlXHCJt — Symone A. Davis (@SymoneDavisTV) May 22, 2019
Some people were seen lining up outside the restaurant before 7 a.m.
The Norfolk-based bakery The Rustic Tart announced a new partnership in a video posted to social media that will allow them to serve their pies in Shake Shack’s ice cream.
The bakery is also holding a contest on social media where customers can win a $5 gift card.
