Chesapeake Bay Reggae Fest: Saturday, June 30 – Sunday, July 1

As a born and raised south Floridian, the Caribbean culture plays a huge role in my life. I love moving my hips to soca and reggae, especially Bob Marley and The Wailers and you can get your own taste of the islands by checking out the Chesapeake Bay Reggae Fest.

When: Gates open at 11 a.m.
Where: Mill Point Park
Cost: $10 Admission, Kids 10 yrs. and under are free

Voice in the Dark: Saturday, June 30

Voices in the Dark takes hikers through Lone Star Lakes. Hear the sounds of the great horned owl, elusive bobcat and a variety of other local animals. 

When: 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Where: Lone Star Lakes
Cost: $5 Admission

Pride Block Party: Friday, June 29

This Friday, dance the night away at the 7th Annual Pride Block Party. This year’s theme is ‘7 minutes in Heaven.’ You can expect live art, drag and heavenly performers. All the proceeds go towards Hampton Roads Pride and its mission.

When: 7 p.m. – Midnight
Where: Norfolk Scope Arena
Cost: $12 and Up (All ages Welcome)
