PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Last year nearly 600 people took part in a volunteer science project to gather information about sea level rise and flooding in Hampton Roads. Its called Catch the King! The King Tide is the highest tide of the year and it will take place on October 27. Citizens are urged to download an app on their smart phone and record tidal water in their area. We find out more about this very important issue in this week’s Reck on the Road.

If you would like to help join this citizen science project that is making a difference in your area with flooding, download the app, Sea Level Rise, at searisingsolutions.com
