PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – It is Health Makeover Week on The Hampton Roads Show and there are lots of ways you can enhance your life, and thanks to a new app, you can even save a life.
Thanks to a grant from Eastern Virginia Medical School, The City of Norfolk emergency service was able to launch an app June 1st called PulsePoint. What it does is allow you to get notifications on your smart phone that someone nearby is in need of CPR. We find out more from Norfolk Fire Chief Harry Worley in this weeks edition of Reck on the Road.
Since the app was launched June 1st, 900 people have it on their phones and 600 are CPR certified.
