VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Brent and Lynn Neubauer, of Virginia Beach, have three children and their middle child, Paige, was a junior at Virginia Tech. Life was good for the Neubauers until March 31, 2017. That’s the day everything stopped for their family.
Paige was killed in a car crash off of route 81. Extended family, friends and the community rallied around them. Paige was a young woman on a mission and touched so many lives. She had a giving heart and lived to serve others. Her ultimate goal was to establish a non-profit organization.
Paige’s mom, Lynn, came up with a way to honor her daughter and to have her legacy live on: A “Do Good Day” on the anniversary of Paige’s death. More than 200 people came together March 31, 2018 to do good. They fanned out across Hampton Roads to do things like make blessing bags for the homeless, yard work for the elderly and deliver meals to those who need them. It was a huge success and something the Neubauers plan on every March 31st to celebrate the life of their daughter. They believe it is what she would want.
