Carotid Artery Disease and Treatment

HR Show

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Your carotid arteries are the major blood vessels that deliver blood to your brain. Carotid artery disease occurs when a blockage in one or both of these arteries decreases the amount of blood flow to your brain. This can lead to a stroke.

Doctor Chad McKenzie is a General and Vascular Surgeon with Bon Secours Vein and Vascular Specialists. He joined Chris Reckling on The Hampton Roads Show with helpful information and treatment options.
